I’ve spent my entire adult life working with others in the world of sustainability. And although there have inevitably been some ‘bad uns’ amongst them, it’s hard to imagine a better peer group to have been part of – by and large!

So it’s always somewhat shocking to discover, on occasions, that it’s a working community that shares many of the same regrettable and even reprehensible characteristics as other groups of professionals.

Including, it seems, turning a blind eye to that abiding injustice of paying women less than men for doing exactly the same job – as I discovered following up on this survey of global CR and sustainability salaries conducted by Acre, Carnstone and Flag, as featured in the excellent 2degrees newsletter.
